Security Supervisor

Compass Medical Waste Services is a leading provider of healthcare risk waste management solutions. We are seeking a dedicated, professional, and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team and ensure the safety and security of our people, assets, and operations.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate all security personnel and security-related activities.Ensure compliance with company security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Monitor access control systems and visitor management processes.Conduct routine patrols and inspections of company premises.Investigate security incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.Manage security shift rosters and ensure adequate coverage at all times.Conduct toolbox talks, security briefings, and on-the-job training for security staff.Liaise with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and external security providers when required.Ensure all security equipment and systems are operational and maintained.Promote a culture of safety, vigilance, and professionalism within the workplace.Minimum RequirementsGrade 12 (Matric).Valid PSIRA Grade A or B Registration.Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a supervisory security role.Strong leadership, communication, and report-writing skills.Knowledge of security operations, access control, investigations, and incident management.Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).Valid driver's licence.Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.Licenced Firearm ownerCompetenciesLeadership and team management.Attention to detail.Problem-solving and decision-making.Conflict management.Integrity and professionalism.Ability to work under pressure.
