Job Title: Vault OfficerLocation: Cape TownJob Type: Permanent, Full-TimeKey ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the security and integrity of the vault at all timesMonitor and control authorised access to the vaultMaintain precise and up-to-date records of all items entering and leaving the vaultEnsure strict compliance with all security protocols and proceduresRespond promptly and effectively to alarms and security incidentsCollaborate closely with security personnel and management teamsEssential QualificationsEducational Qualification: Possession of a Matric Certificate (Grade 12) or recognised equivalent.Security Credentials: Valid PSIRA Grade C Registration and a current PSIRA Cash-in-Transit (CIT) training certificate.Financial Standing: Clear credit record with no adverse history.Legal Standing: No criminal convictions.Business Affiliation: Must not be currently registered as a director of any company or business.Health: Medically fit to perform the duties associated with this role.ExperiencePrevious experience in security or a closely related field is required.Knowledge And SkillsProficient with computer systems and softwareThorough understanding of security procedures and protocolsExceptional attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesCapable of working effectively under pressureStrong problem-solving skills and sound judgementWorking ConditionsThis role involves working within a secure environment, often in confined spaces. It may require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of heavy objects. Shift work, including nights and weekends, may be necessary to ensure continuous 24/7 security coverage of the vault.
