This exciting opportunity is ideal for a professional Guide who is passionate about Safari experiences, wildlife conservation and exceptional guest service.The successful Field Guide will conduct safe, informative and engaging game drives for local and international guests. The role requires excellent bush knowledge, confident communication and the ability to create memorable wildlife experiences while maintaining responsible viewing practices.The Field Guide will also assist with guest hosting, vehicle care, equipment inspections and general lodge operations when required. Applicants should be comfortable working flexible hours and living in a remote bush environment. A positive attitude, professional appearance and willingness to support a small lodge team are essential.Field Guide, Safari And Lodge RequirementsRecognised FGASA or equivalent Field Guide qualification. Previous guiding experience within a Big Five reserve. Valid driver’s licence and Professional Driving Permit. Current First Aid certification. Strong knowledge of African wildlife, birdlife, ecology and conservation. Confident conducting safe and informative game drives. Excellent communication, storytelling and guest-engagement skills. Experience hosting local and international safari guests. Professional, well-presented and fluent in English. Strong focus on guest safety and responsible wildlife viewing. Ability to complete daily safari vehicle and equipment inspections. Willingness to assist with guest hosting and general lodge operations. Comfortable working flexible hours, weekends and public holidays. Mature, reliable and able to work independently. Trails qualifications, rifle competency and additional languages would be advantageous. Field Guide PackageMarket-related salary. Live-in accommodation. Meals and additional benefits to be confirmed.
