This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not Del Taco LLC. This means the independent franchisee, and not Del Taco LLC will be your employer if you are hired. The independent franchisee is responsible for all employment related matters inthe restaurant including, among other things, setting any requirements for this job and all decisions concerning hiring, firing, discipline, wages, supervision, staffing and scheduling. Position Summary As an Operations Manager, you will report to the Area Director and play a crucial role in upholding and promoting the Del Taco Brand. Your focus will be on driving sales, maximizing efficiency, and enhancing profitability while embodying the Del Taco Way. Key Responsibilities Recruit, hire, and retain a high-quality team to fully staff the store. Ensure all team members are certified in accordance with current training standards. Foster a service-oriented culture that encourages fun and teamwork. Conduct performance evaluations and recommend salary adjustments. Administer disciplinary actions or terminations as necessary. Mentor and develop team members and future leaders. Brand Execution Implement Del Taco standards and processes consistently. Maintain the cleanliness of the facility and customer areas. Ensure that operational and safety standards for equipment are met. Deliver quality products meeting Del Taco standards every time. Follow cleaning schedules and standards diligently. Ensure all employees are dressed in proper uniform. Provide a consistent and enjoyable service experience. Ensure promotional materials and signage are displayed correctly. Sales and Customer Loyalty Set and communicate clear sales goals on a daily, weekly, and annual basis. Place the right people in the right positions according to projected and actual sales. Enhance customer experience to increase customer count and average ticket size. Identify and implement local marketing opportunities to attract new customers. Stay informed about local events and understand the competitive landscape. Ensure a speedy and friendly service experience. Execute marketing promotions and campaigns flawlessly. Profitability Manage staffing levels aligned with actual sales needs. Adhere to all labor laws. Oversee inventory management to minimize waste and prevent loss. Ensure rigorous cash handling procedures are implemented and followed. Conduct cash audits and resolve any discrepancies. Ensure compliance with safety and health standards. Control maintenance and supply costs efficiently. Achieve and communicate controllable cost targets. Knowledge, Skills & Experience High School diploma or equivalent. 3 - 5 years of experience in the QSR or full-service industry. ServSafe Certification. Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational abilities; detail-oriented and accurate. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform under pressure with minimal supervision. Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop a diverse team. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Work in an office and restaurant environment, requiring extended periods of standing, sitting, and using a computer. Ability to travel to various restaurant locations, which may include overnight travel. A valid Driver's License and Proof of Vehicle Insurance is required.
