Job Description
• Trim, inspect and pack containers or parts on line 1
• Taking the 95-gallon trash cans in the production floor to the compactor to be emptied and bringing them back to the production floor once they have been emptied.
• Inspects and packs bottles on assigned lines, repack area or during rework activities.
• Monitor production for quality defects and promptly inform the operator and/or supervisor of any issues.
• Correctly apply tickets to finished packages.
• Read and understand the job discrete pick list. Ensure compliance on assigned line.
• Fill in required data on exception reports and any pack/inspection sheets as required.
• Start, stop, reset and clear jams on auxiliary equipment such as bottle conveyors, sleeve labeler, box maker, labeler, flame treater, leak tester, etc.
• Complete assigned housekeeping duties in areas of responsibility.
• Complete employee safety observation forms and report hazards as necessary.
• Participate in monthly safety and/or quality meetings.
• Adhere to Silgan safety policies.
• Empty reject bins and grind scrap as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
