Job Description
In support of our client, a global industry leader in the manufactuing of heater coils in the for the oil and gas market, ResourceTek is seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our team supporting their manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas.

Candidate will be responsible for fitting and welding of steel, aluminum and stainless-steel parts using a MIG and/or TIG process. Also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as assigned by his or her supervisor.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
β€’ Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification
β€’ Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
β€’ MIG and TIG weld steel, aluminum and stainless-steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings
β€’ Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
β€’ Follow, create and help maintain Welding Procedure Specifications
β€’ Set up welding cells for serial production runs
β€’ Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.
β€’ Assemble items as instructed by floor supervisor
β€’ Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
β€’ Follow all company rules and policies
β€’ Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
β€’ Follow all safety rules and quality standards
β€’ Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
β€’ 2+ years’ experience as a welder / fabricator
β€’ Experience with steel, aluminum and/or stainless steel required
β€’ Experience with MIG and TIG welding highly preferred.
β€’ Ability to lift heavy items up to 60 pounds consistently required.
β€’ Ability to perform simple shop math, convert decimals to factional equivalents and fractions to decimal equivalents
β€’ Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
β€’ Ability to identify and measure material
β€’ Ability to produce quality products consistently
β€’ Ability to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form
β€’ Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic
β€’ Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses
β€’ Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges
