A2A Security Agency Inc. is hiring professional, reliable, and customer-focused Event Security Guards to work at private, corporate, residential, and public events in Austin. In this role, you will help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for guests, event staff, vendors, and clients while representing a fast-growing boutique security firm.

This position is ideal for security professionals who are calm under pressure, comfortable interacting with the public, and able to maintain a professional presence in high-traffic event environments.

Responsibilities
β€’ Provide a professional, visible, and reassuring security presence at event entrances, exits, lobbies, checkpoints, and other assigned posts.
β€’ Perform access control by checking guest lists, tickets, credentials, wristbands, or other authorizations as directed by the client.
β€’ Assist with crowd control, line management, guest flow, and general event safety.
β€’ Monitor guest behavior and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, disturbances, or policy violations.
β€’ Support event staff, property management, and supervisors with maintaining order and enforcing site rules.
β€’ Assist with de-escalation of tense or disruptive situations in a calm, respectful, and professional manner.
β€’ Respond to incidents such as disturbances, medical emergencies, unauthorized access, or evacuations in accordance with site procedures.
β€’ Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members using radio, phone, or other assigned communication tools.
β€’ Complete clear and accurate incident or activity reports when required.

Requirements
β€’ Valid Texas Security Guard License issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety β€” mandatory.
β€’ Minimum 1–2 years of professional security experience preferred.
β€’ Prior event security, hospitality, residential, retail, nightclub, or corporate security experience is a strong asset.
β€’ Excellent communication skills and a professional, customer-service-oriented attitude.
β€’ Calm, alert, and able to make good decisions under pressure.
β€’ Professional appearance, strong sense of discretion, and reliable work ethic.
β€’ Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
β€’ Punctual, dependable, and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
β€’ Ability to follow post orders, client instructions, and supervisor direction.
β€’ Experience with access control, guest screening, or crowd management is considered an asset.
