MSK's Security Department provides a secure environment for the hospital staff, visitors and patients. As part of our team, you will monitor building entrances, interior floors, and outside perimeters of MSK buildings. We investigate incidents, prepare written reports, respond to emergencies, and render any assistance needed. We are proud to protect, apply now and join us as a Security Guard!

Required Experience:
• Valid New York State Security Guard License and Fire Guard (F01) required for NYC // For NJ: SORA certification.
• Working experience as a Security Guard - standing, walking and/or continuously moving around and ability to work in inclement weather conditions.
• Physical ability to react/respond quickly to emergencies, including life threatening situations, disorderly conduct, aggressive behaviors, crowd control, etc.
• Digital literacy and visual ability to supervise instruments and computers, distinguish characters (letters, numbers, etc); recognize colors, observe physical characteristics, etc.
• Knowledge of emergency preparedness concepts, basic security concepts and procedures.
• Practice good ethical behavior, excellent communication and customer service, and flexibility to adjust as needed.
