Position Purpose

The Fabricator will assist in the day-to-day production of our standard and custom projects. Fabricator will review and understand blueprints to determine what materials, tools and processes are needed in order to complete the project.

Responsibilities
• Read design drawings and work instructions in order to complete project accurately
• Measure and cut materials to dimensions specified
• Willingness to work in multiple areas of concentration ranging from carpentry to hand grinding and polishing
• Assist with assembling and building components used for various sets
• MIG and TIG welding stainless steel and aluminum components in flat or vertical positions
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure workpieces to ensure conformance with specifications
• Safely operate basic shop equipment and machinery
• Weld components using welding techniques including MIG and TIG
• Conduct inspections to ensure the quality of finished projects
• Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and work area
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements
• Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working in a similar manufacturing environment
• Basic construction skills to work with steel, aluminum, wood, foam and more
• Proficient in using various power tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proficient in basic computer software programs; Google Suite products a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• The ability to lift/and move up 70 lbs. regularly
• Ability to stand long hours, use hands and wrist continuously in controlled movement
• Ability to maintain work in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with the initiative to learn and be trained on various types of equipment and processes
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and some holidays
Salary commensurate with experience: $20 per hour
