Job Summary

DSI is growing—again!
We are seeking professional Security Officers to join our team at a premier Class A commercial property in downtown Chicago. This union position focuses on delivering a concierge-level security presence, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for tenants, guests, and clients.

This is a high-visibility role ideal for individuals who take pride in professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail.
Essential Job Responsibilities
• Provide a professional and welcoming presence in lobby and common areas
• Deliver exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and guests
• Monitor access control systems and manage visitor entry
• Conduct routine patrols of the property
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, or incidents
• Respond to situations with professionalism and sound judgment
• Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports
• Follow all post orders, policies, and safety procedures

Requirements
• Minimum 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic to intermediate computer skills (reports, email, access control systems)
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Reliable transportation and means of communication
• Must possess or be able to obtain an Illinois PERC card
• Must pass all pre-employment screenings
