Schedule: Mon: 7:30am-3:00pm | Fri 3:00pm-11:00pm | Sat 7:30am-2:00pm

Position Overview

The Security Guard is responsible for providing security services at a client site(s) during scheduled shifts. The guard's schedule, site assignments, and hours are subject to change based on client needs, staffing requirements, call-offs, and contract adjustments. While SSPG strives to accommodate preferred schedules, flexibility is essential for the role.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide security services at the assigned client site(s), ensuring the safety and security of personnel, premises, and assets.

· Be available to work various shifts and client sites as needed. Schedule and locations may change depending on client needs, staffing requirements, or other operational factors.

· Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, visitors, and staff. Ensure that all communication fosters a positive and secure environment.

· Conduct regular patrols of the assigned site and monitor surveillance equipment, ensuring adherence to the client’s security protocols.

· Accurately document any incidents, security breaches, or irregularities, and promptly report them to the appropriate personnel for follow-up.

· Additional duties as assigned by Silver Star leadership team.

Requirements

Qualifications

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Valid firearms license or certification required.

· Active PERC and FOID card required.

· Must own a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher.

· Previous armed security or related experience preferred.

· Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.

· Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.

· Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.

· Capability to respond quickly and effectively in emergencies.

Schedule and Availability

· Guards are expected to work scheduled shifts at their assigned client sites.

· Shifts, site assignments, and schedules are subject to change based on client and SSPG needs.

· Flexibility is required to work additional shifts, including on-call or emergency coverage when needed.
