Welder position available in Baldwin Park, CA. 91706

Monday through Friday - 7:30am to 4pm - Must be available to work overtime and weekends.

Summary:

Welder MUST be experienced in TIG welding process and equipment.

Job Functions:
• Lay out, plan welding assignments using blue prints, customer sketches and verbal instruction.
• Develops and fabricates the welding fixtures and tooling as required to complete his or her assignments
• Knowledge of visual inspection acceptance/rejection criteria
• Perform repetitive welding tasks with consistent accuracy and quality
• Follow verbal and written instructions
• Make efforts for continuous improvement of in-house processes
• Ability to change priorities with little or no notice
• Take orders and work assignments from lead welder and maintenance manager
• Work with welding fixtures and jigs
• Any other duties as assigned by maintenance manager and/or lead welder
• Occasionally the welder may be required to accompany a work crew out to a job site to perform welding tasks at customer/work sites.
• Employee must provide their own hand tools and welding helmet.
• Must be able to communicate to peers and supervision on work status.
• Regular attendance is required, 8 hours a day Monday thru Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
• Over time may be required when scheduled.
• Must practice good housekeeping habits.
• May perform other duties as required.

Experience:

Preferred 3-7 years in welding environment, repair or fabrication experience a plus.

Should be able to read and interpret engineering blue prints.
