About the position

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Perimeter Watch in Sunnyvale, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, professional communication. You will support a welcoming shopper experience while documenting activity and working closely with site teams. Responsibilities
β€’ Provide customer service to clients and guests at a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
β€’ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail sales floor, common areas, back-of-house spaces, entrances and/or exterior perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
β€’ Monitor access points, report suspicious activity and help to deter theft and/or unauthorized entry through high-visibility presence and routine observations.
β€’ Respond to incidents, alarms and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and complete timely written reports and notifications to site leadership.
β€’ Support store operations during peak traffic periods by assisting with queue management, wayfinding and de-escalation of disruptive behavior while maintaining a professional, customer-focused demeanor.

Requirements
β€’ Have at least 1 or more years of security-related experience.
β€’ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
β€’ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
β€’ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
β€’ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
β€’ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
β€’ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
β€’ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
