Job Summary

Housekeeping staff are responsible for cleaning and maintaining the residential facility to make sure that it meets any housekeeping sanitation requirements and provides a comfortable space for residents and employees.

Essential Functions
β€’ Maintain assigned facilities as prescribed (includes: sweeping and mopping floors, dusting common areas, cleaning dry erase/chalkboards, cleaning furniture, toilet fixtures, basins, mirrors, lavatories, classrooms and offices, empty trash cans and bins and recycle paper receptors.).
β€’ Check stocking levels of cleaning supplies and replace them when appropriate.
β€’ Keep bathrooms stocked with clean linens, toiletries, and other supplies, including replenishing dispensers as needed (includes paper towels, toilet tissue, trash can liners and hand soap).
β€’ Ensure that facility service calls are responded to, scheduled and completed in a timely and proper manner that minimizes disruptions. Including all emergency issues.
β€’ Perform major seasonal cleaning of carpets, classrooms, windows, exterior porches, stairs and handicap entrances.

Qualifications and Requirements

Preferred Education/Work Experience:

Level: High School Diploma or equivalent
β€’ 1 year of experience as Housekeeper.
β€’ Customer service experience preferred.
β€’ Ability to work with a variety of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
β€’ Ability to perform all duties as required with or without an accommodation.
β€’ Ability to read, write and converse proficiently in English and Spanish and translate written Spanish into English is preferred.
β€’ The ability to read, comprehend, and transmit complicated detailed instructions orally and in writing in English and preferably in Spanish.

Working Conditions/Physical Efforts

Work is performed mostly in an office setting. Evening and weekend work are requirements of the position as necessary. Regular computer work is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; finger, handle, or feel objects, or controls; reach; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty 50 pounds and must be able to work on a ladder. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
