Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as dusting, mopping, and vacuuming, to maintain a clean and sanitary environment on campus.
Ensure that all areas of the campus, including classrooms, offices, and common spaces, are clean and presentable for students, faculty, and staff.
Follow proper cleaning procedures and use appropriate equipment and cleaning products to maintain a safe and environmentally friendly campus.
Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
Adhere to all safety and health regulations while performing cleaning duties.
Handle and dispose of waste and hazardous materials properly and in accordance with university policies and procedures.
Assist in setting up and cleaning up for special events and functions on campus.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and report any shortages or damages.
Collaborate with other members of the environmental services team to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
Provide excellent customer service to all members of the campus community and respond promptly to any cleaning requests or concerns.
Train and mentor new team members to ensure they are knowledgeable about proper cleaning techniques and university policies.
Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and trends related to custodial and housekeeping services.
Comply with all university policies and procedures, including those related to environmental sustainability.
Participate in meetings and training sessions as required by the university.
Represent the university in a professional and positive manner at all times.
