BSIS is seeking a motivated Welder & Fabricator that will be responsible for completing assigned shop tasks safely and efficiently, supporting fabrication and production operations while maintaining quality, organization, and teamwork across the shop and warehouse. The Welder & Fabricator will report directly to the General Manager.

Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with:
• Minimum of 10 years of welding and fabrication experience.
• Strong ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Proficient in welding techniques and fabrication processes.
• Experience using power tools, drilling equipment, and hand tools.
• Knowledge of hardware, drill sizes, and tap sizes is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Experience fabricating elevator or industrial components.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities

A typical day may include:
• Complete all assigned shop tasks, including fabrication and welding projects.
• Read and follow drawings, blueprints to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and verify pick lists to ensure materials are ready for following days' work.
• Operate welding equipment/machinery safely.
• Maintain clean and an organized shop.
• Assist with warehouse duties as needed.
Work Environment & Hazards
• Work is performed in a manufacturing and fabrication shop environment.
• Operation of power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and drilling machinery.
• Physical demands include standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive motions.
• Required use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to eye, hand, hearing, and respiratory protection.
• Compliance with all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and safe work practices is mandatory.
Special Physical Demands
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive motions as required for fabrication and welding tasks.

• Day shifts, generally 7:00am-3:30pm or 8:00am-4:30pm (Flexible start time), some overtime is required.
