Job Description
Overview

At BRDG, we design and build experiences that blur the lines between art, technology, and storytelling. Our on-call and part-time Fabricators play a crucial role in that process - jumping in when it counts to shape, weld, and bring bold ideas to life.

Whether you’re cutting your teeth on experimental builds or stepping in as a seasoned expert, you’ll work project-to-project alongside our design, engineering, and fabrication teams to deliver best-in-class work that turns heads and defies expectations.

This role is perfect for experienced fabricators looking to stay close to the craft without committing to a full-time schedule. We’ll call on you when your skills are needed whether that’s prepping for an install, crushing a quick-turn build, or welding something wild for a flagship activation.

What You’ll Do

Hands-On Metal Fabrication & Welding
• Perform MIG and TIG welding across aluminum and steel with attention to strength and finish.
• Cut, bend, and shape components using standard and advanced shop tools.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files with ease.Maintain quality and safety standards throughout the fabrication process.

Project-Based Collaboration
• Join in on builds as needed, collaborating with our full-time fabricators, engineers, and project managers.
• Take ownership of tasks and fabricate autonomously, while being QC’ed by our Metal Manager.
• Be a reliable partner who jumps in when the workload surges or a big install is on the line.

Shop Savvy
• Safely operate a variety of fabrication tools and machinery.
• Help keep the shop clean, organized, and functioning smoothly, even in short stints.
• Occasionally, help perform basic equipment maintenance and flag issues when needed.

Who You Are
• An experienced metal fabricator (3+ years of recent experience preferred) who thrives in fast-paced, design-driven environments.
• Available on a flexible, as-needed basis—with the ability to jump in for short- or mid-term project needs.
• Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and proud of your craftsmanship.
• Someone who finds joy in building the unexpected and being part of something bigger.

The Fine Print

This is an on-call / part-time position. Scheduling will be based on project timelines, workload, and team capacity. Our production studio operates 5 days per week from 9-5 with occasional weekend work depending on the scope of the project.
