About the role

Polystar General Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Pipeman (Plumber) to join our skilled trades team in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on diverse plumbing projects across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. As a Pipeman, you will be instrumental in ensuring the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Key responsibilities
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and fittings in residential, commercial, and industrial properties
• Conduct thorough inspections of plumbing systems to identify defects, leaks, and areas requiring maintenance or replacement
• Diagnose plumbing problems using specialised tools and equipment, and implement effective solutions
• Cut, bend, and thread pipes using appropriate hand and power tools
• Connect pipes to fixtures and appliances, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening
• Test plumbing systems to verify proper operation and compliance with relevant codes and standards
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project
• Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members regarding project progress and any issues encountered
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, wearing appropriate protective equipment on all job sites
• Keep work areas clean and organised, properly disposing of waste materials

What we're looking for
• Completed vocational training or apprenticeship in plumbing, with relevant certification or licensing as required by local authorities
• Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience working as a plumber in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
• Proficiency with plumbing tools and equipment, including pipe cutters, threading machines, soldering equipment, and diagnostic tools
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and best practices applicable in the Philippines
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and plumbing schematics
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to punctuality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with preventative maintenance and emergency repair services is preferred
