Job Overview

We are seeking experienced hardwood carpenters who specialize in solid wood furniture manufacturing and detailed joinery. The ideal candidate must have hands-on expertise in working with premium hardwoods and an eye for finishing, alignment, and structural integrity.

This role is ideal for craftsmen who respect material, understand grain behavior, and can execute fine furniture with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Hardwood Fabrication & Joinery

β€’ Work extensively with hardwoods such as teak, oak, ash, walnut, and similar solid woods

β€’ Execute traditional and modern joinery (mortise & tenon, dovetail, finger joints, dowel joints, etc.)

β€’ Read and interpret detailed working drawings

β€’ Maintain dimensional accuracy and structural strength

2. Furniture Manufacturing

β€’ Manufacture bespoke furniture pieces including tables, chairs, beds, storage units, and architectural elements

β€’ Shape, plane, sand, and assemble hardwood components

β€’ Ensure grain matching and consistency

β€’ Maintain tight tolerances and symmetry

3. Surface Preparation & Finishing Support

β€’ Prepare surfaces for polishing and finishing

β€’ Ensure edges, curves, and profiles are sharp and consistent

β€’ Identify and rectify defects in wood before finishing

4. Workshop Discipline

β€’ Maintain tools and machinery in good condition

β€’ Follow safety protocols

β€’ Keep work area clean and organized

β€’ Coordinate with polishing and fitting teams

Required Skills & Experience

β€’ Minimum 5+ years of experience in hardwood furniture manufacturing

β€’ Strong knowledge of solid wood behavior (movement, moisture, grain direction)

β€’ Ability to handle both hand tools and woodworking machines

β€’ Experience in custom furniture or luxury interiors preferred

β€’ Attention to detail and high-quality finishing standards

β€’ Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM (Single Shift)
