Job Description
Nutemp Mechanical Systems Ltd. is a multi-trade mechanical contractor that focuses on the industrial, commercial, and institutional markets. With over 40 years of experience, Nutemp has grown into a vertically integrated, industry-leading mechanical organization in Southern Ontario.

We are currently seeking an experienced PRODUCTION WELDER to join our growing Pipe Fabrication division and support our expanding prefab operations.

YOUR Responsibilities
β€’ Weld and threading carbon steel piping and pipe assemblies for commercial and institutional mechanical systems
β€’ Perform high-quality welds using:
β€’ GMAW (MIG)
β€’ FCAW (Flux Core)
β€’ SMAW and GTAW considered assets
β€’ Read and interpret:
β€’ Shop drawings
β€’ Spool sheets
β€’ Isometric drawings and weld maps
β€’ Work within a production-based fabrication workflow:
β€’ Fit-up
β€’ Welding
β€’ Quality control
β€’ Final spool completion
β€’ Ensure all work meets company quality standards and applicable welding codes
β€’ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
β€’ Collaborate with fitters, foremen, project teams, and QA personnel to meet production schedules
β€’ Support continuous improvement initiatives within the fabrication shop

YOUR Qualifications
β€’ Minimum 3 years of welding experience in a fabrication shop or industrial setting
β€’ Experience welding pipe systems in commercial or industrial environments
β€’ Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
β€’ Strong attention to detail and commitment to conformance to a Quality Assurance System
β€’ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
β€’ Knowledge of CWB and/or ASME standards considered an asset
β€’ Strong communication and teamwork skills
β€’ Commitment to workplace safety and company policies
β€’ Experience working in a high-volume prefab or production shop environment considered an asset
β€’ Valid Ontario Driver’s License considered an asset
β€’ Candidates selected for an interview will be required to complete a practical in-shop welding test to demonstrate weld quality, consistency, and workmanship
