The Campus Security Guard plays a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and supportive campus environment. This position is responsible for patrolling campus facilities and grounds, observing and reporting incidents, and responding to emergencies to ensure the safety and well being of students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
• Patrol campus buildings, facilities, and grounds to deter and detect security concerns
• Promote appropriate behavior and protect the welfare of students, faculty, and staff
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, provide First Aid as required, and contact police or emergency services when necessary
• Assist in the coordination and execution of campus emergency plans
• Investigate incidents and submit clear, accurate, and timely incident reports
• Maintain a visible, professional presence on campus to support a safe learning environment

Education & Experience
• Alberta Basic Security Training (ABST) Certificate and valid Alberta Security License (through Alberta Solicitor General)
• Standard First Aid, Level C CPR, and AED certification
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in security or a related field

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong report writing ability
