Our client in Peel Region, ON is actively looking for a Welder to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

Client out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications using straight edges, combination squares, calipers, rulers, gauges, and other measuring tools

Weld and assemble parts and components using MIG welding equipment

Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications with minimal guidance

Identify differences between dock lift capacities and models

Transition efficiently between work benches and tasks as required

Train new employees while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety

Set up machines for various materials and material thicknesses

Meet minimum and maximum production output requirements

Follow production schedules to ensure deadlines and goals are achieved

Use jigs, fixtures, grinders, and measuring tools accurately

Perform basic lubrication and routine maintenance of equipment

Test and inspect finished work to ensure compliance with specifications when required

Scan job barcodes and complete required production and quality documentation

Perform daily crane inspections in accordance with safety requirements

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following 6S standards

Perform diversified tasks efficiently and effectively

Carry out additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Valid welding certification

Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools

Experience with MIG welding processes

Ability to work independently with little or no supervision

Ability to complete daily crane inspections

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
