Our client, a leading logistics and supply chain company, is looking for a dedicated and reliable Regional Delivery Driver to join their operations hub in Toronto, Ontario, CA . This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our valued customers across the region. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), a clean driving record, and a strong commitment to customer service and safety protocols. You will be responsible for operating a commercial vehicle, planning efficient delivery routes, loading and unloading cargo, and maintaining vehicle logs and reports. Responsibilities:
Operate a commercial delivery vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Plan and execute daily delivery routes to ensure on-time performance for all scheduled deliveries. Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and its equipment. Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and fuel consumption reports. Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions, including obtaining signatures and confirming delivery details. Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents promptly to management. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle. Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures for handling and transporting goods. Assist with warehouse duties as needed during non-delivery periods.
Qualifications:
Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Commercial Driver's License (CDL). A clean and verifiable driving record. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a professional driver. Proven ability to navigate routes efficiently and manage time effectively. Strong knowledge of local and regional road networks. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items (up to 50 lbs). Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to regulations. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
