Job Description
Position Overview

The Driver is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to customer sites as needed or as a part of a pre-defined route, reviewing orders prior to delivery to verify accuracy, and loading and unloading goods, and pick-up using Encore owned, leased, or rented trucks. This position reports to Manager, Warehouse

Key Job Responsibilities

Driving, Delivery, and Pick-up Asset

β€’ Maintain set routes and schedules as directed by their supervisor to meet customer expectations

β€’ Loading and unloading of vehicles

β€’ Review orders for accuracy during both delivery and pickup to ensure all items are accounted for

β€’ Ensure contents are properly secured inside of truck to prevent breakage or damage to gear

β€’ Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions

β€’ Able to complete a manual and/or electronic log book, based on an assigned region

Customer Service

β€’ Provide superior customer service and strive to exceed the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers

β€’ Maintain a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication and interaction

β€’ Assist with dispatching (as needed), which includes planning routes, making driver assignments, coordinating with venues and branch personnel and arranging for 3rd party transportation to support regional needs

Equipment Handling

β€’ Assist warehouse team with other responsibilities to include: pulling, receiving, and transportation of equipment.

β€’ Participate in annual physical inventory process.

β€’ Perform quality control and equipment staging in warehouse as directed.

β€’ Ensure all equipment is picked up and/or delivered on site.

Vehicle Maintenance

β€’ Works with the dispatcher or warehouse supervisors to ensure vehicles are well maintained through scheduled service appointments as required.

β€’ Maintain good general overall appearance of the vehicles and ensure all vehicles are kept clean and free of debris.

β€’ Perform daily inspection on vehicle prior to route and ensure Driver Vehicle Inspection logs are performed before each trip.

β€’ Maintain and replenish all vehicle fluids as needed – e.g. wiper fluid, DEF, etc.

β€’ Identify mechanical maintenance needs as they occur.

β€’ Report any vehicle damages or traffic violations to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.

Job Qualifications

β€’ High School Diploma / GED

β€’ Valid Driver’s License minimum of 2 years driving experience

β€’ Clean driving record

Hourly Roles

Hourly Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.00

The compensation offered for this role is determined based on the qualifications outlined in the job posting for the specified location. Final compensation is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant work experience, or particular skills and expertise. In addition, some positions may be eligible for other compensation such as potential overtime, bonuses or incentives.

Work Environment

Warehouse

Work is performed at event venues as well as in a warehouse environment. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by ENCORE based in a warehouse environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area. When in the Warehouse, work will be completed in an environment with exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members may use high-end audio visual equipment and electrical components. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
