Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Head of Housekeeping to oversee all aspects of cleaning and sanitation operations for their flagship facility. This is a critical, hands-on role requiring strong leadership and exceptional attention to detail. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction are consistently met. This position is entirely on-site, demanding regular presence at the location.

Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive cleaning and sanitation protocols and schedules. Supervise, train, and manage a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to standards. Conduct regular inspections of rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure quality and identify maintenance needs. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effective procurement. Develop and manage the housekeeping budget, controlling expenses and optimizing resource allocation. Address and resolve guest complaints and concerns related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Coordinate with other departments, such as Maintenance and Front Desk, to ensure seamless operations. Implement staff training programs on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and customer service. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, staff performance, and inventory.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the housekeeping or janitorial services sector. Demonstrated understanding of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices in sanitation. Excellent leadership, team management, and motivational skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards. Proficiency in inventory management and budget control. Knowledge of health and safety regulations. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as operational needs dictate. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
This is a non-remote position located in Toronto, Ontario, CA . Candidates must be able to report to the worksite daily.
