Job Title: Budtender (Primary) & Delivery Driver (Secondary)

Location: Ontario, Canada
Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time

Position Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable, customer-focused Budtender to join our cannabis retail team. This role primarily focuses on delivering exceptional in-store customer experiences, product education, and compliance with Ontario cannabis regulations.

As a secondary responsibility, the role includes delivery driving duties, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of cannabis products to customers while maintaining a high standard of service and safety.

Key Responsibilities Budtender (Primary Role)
β€’ Greet and assist customers in a welcoming, professional manner
β€’ Educate customers on cannabis products, including dried flower, pre-rolls, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
β€’ Provide tailored product recommendations based on customer needs and preferences
β€’ Operate POS system to process transactions accurately
β€’ Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations set by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and Ontario Cannabis Store
β€’ Verify customer identification and ensure all customers meet legal age requirements (19+)
β€’ Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising standards
β€’ Assist with inventory management, restocking, and product displays
β€’ Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and regulatory changes

Delivery Driver (Secondary Role)
β€’ Safely deliver cannabis products to customers in compliance with Ontario regulations
β€’ Verify customer identity and age at the point of delivery
β€’ Follow strict delivery protocols, including secure handling and documentation of cannabis products
β€’ Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely service
β€’ Maintain delivery logs and records accurately
β€’ Ensure vehicle is clean, reliable, and operated safely at all times
β€’ Handle cash or electronic payments securely, where applicable
β€’ Report any delivery issues, delays, or compliance concerns promptly

Qualifications & Requirements
β€’ Must be 19 years of age or older (legal requirement in Ontario)
β€’ Valid CannSell certification (required prior to start - can appear for the interview with CannSell)
β€’ Previous retail or customer service experience preferred (cannabis experience is an asset)
β€’ Valid G-class driver’s license with a clean driving record
β€’ Access to a reliable vehicle (Fuel Charges for Delivery will be paid separately)
β€’ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
β€’ Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
β€’ High attention to detail and commitment to compliance
β€’ Basic knowledge of cannabis products and consumption methods (training provided)
