Position Summary:

Drivers are responsible for the safe operation of a commercial vehicle in the transportation and placements of building materials on customer job sites. Drivers must also assist with onsite delivery requiring physical labour in all weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities
β€’ Deliver materials to the assigned area as directed by the customer.
β€’ Prioritize personal safety and the safety of those around you.
β€’ Communicate professionally with customers, co-workers, and trades on site.
β€’ Maintain contact with dispatch and work to resolve issues as they arise.
β€’ Prepare trucks for reloading and assist warehouse staff as needed.
β€’ Verify load security and accuracy.
β€’ Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers.
β€’ Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures.

Basic Requirements:
β€’ Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with clean driver's abstract.
β€’ Effective written and oral communication skills.
β€’ Knowledge of basic mathematics.
β€’ Basic hand tool skills.
β€’ Completion of high school preferred.

Physical Requirements
β€’ Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs.
β€’ Sitting for long periods of time.
β€’ Frequent climbing up and down stairs.
β€’ Pulling, pushing, bending, and twisting movements to transfer building materials between truck and job site.
