Position Summary

As a Driver, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless event setups and deliveries, making every event a resounding success.

Pay Rate

$22.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
• Driving: Take the wheel and drive our fleet of trucks, ranging from 3-ton to 5-ton trucks, with skill and precision. Minimum 3 years experience required.
• Client Interaction: Present a client-focused approach, engaging in effective discussions, and adeptly troubleshooting on-site issues to ensure utmost client satisfaction.
• Communication: Act as a liaison between the Logistics Team and the client during on-site operations, ensuring seamless coordination and keeping the team informed of any updates.
• Loading and Unloading: Safely handle the loading and unloading of furniture and equipment from our trucks, demonstrating attention to detail and care for our valuable inventory.
• On-site Furniture Installation: Utilize floor plans and client instructions to skillfully install furniture at the event venue, ensuring everything is precisely arranged.
• Furniture Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness of furniture and promptly address any spot-cleaning requirements to uphold our high standards.
• Time Management: Deliver punctually and excel under tight deadlines, showcasing your ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
• Warehouse: Support warehouse operations during slower periods, including assisting with inventory counts and performing general labour duties as required.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications
• Industry Experience: Previous exposure to the special events, film, trade show, or hospitality industries will be advantageous.
• Driving Credentials: Hold a valid G driver’s license, with a clean driver's abstract dated within the last 30 days.
• Local Knowledge: Familiarity with local venues, including hotels, convention centers, and loading docks, will be an added advantage.
• Additional Certifications: Possession of an Airbrake Endorsement certification will be considered a bonus.
• Moving Experience: Previous involvement as a residential or commercial mover will be highly valued.
• Physical Fitness: Possess excellent physical capabilities, allowing you to lift or carry items up to 50lbs effortlessly.
• Safety Gear: Own CSA approved steel toe shoes/boots to ensure personal safety during operations.

Working Conditions:
• May be exposed to changing weather conditions, including rain, heat, and cold.
• Required to travel frequently to various event locations. This may involve long hours on the road and navigating different routes, sometimes in unfamiliar areas.
• Physical work involving frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
• Ability and willingness to work out of various GTA locations as required.
