Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a vibrant restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong attention to food safety standards, and experience in kitchen operations. As an Assistant Chef, you will support the head chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences by assisting with meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Duties
• Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
• Support food presentation and ensure meals are served promptly and attractively
• Help with food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to comply with food safety regulations
• Contribute to meal preparation during busy service hours, ensuring efficiency and consistency
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and utensils throughout shifts
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of supply needs
• Support the serving staff by providing timely assistance during service hours when needed
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members

Qualifications
• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
• Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety standards
• Strong understanding of meal preparation and presentation
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
