Position: Security Guard Mobile Patrol
Location: Ottawa
Employment Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Monday, Saturday, and Sunday
Shift Hours: 07:00 AM – 07:00 PM
Compensation: $17.85 per hour
Position Summary

Allied Universal is seeking a reliable and professional Security Guard for a Mobile Patrol position in Ottawa. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through regular patrols, monitoring, incident response, and customer service. This role requires strong observational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to respond effectively to security concerns.
Key Responsibilities
β€’ Conduct scheduled mobile patrols of assigned sites and surrounding areas
β€’ Monitor CCTV systems, alarm panels, and access control systems
β€’ Perform regular site inspections to identify security or safety concerns
β€’ Respond to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and suspicious activities
β€’ Complete detailed reports, incident documentation, and daily logs
β€’ Provide assistance and direction to staff, visitors, and contractors
β€’ Liaise with emergency responders and law enforcement when required
β€’ Ensure compliance with site procedures, company standards, and safety protocols
β€’ Maintain company equipment and vehicles in proper working condition
β€’ Participate in required training and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
β€’ Valid Ontario Security Guard License
β€’ Valid full Driver licence (G)
β€’ Valid First Aid and CPR certification
β€’ Minimum 1–2 years of security experience preferred
β€’ Experience with CCTV monitoring and access control systems
β€’ Strong written and verbal communication skills
β€’ Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
β€’ Must possess a valid driver’s licence and have access to a personal vehicle
β€’ Must be 25 years of age or older for insurance eligibility
β€’ Legally authorized to work in Canada
β€’ High school diploma or equivalent
