Packaging Team Lead - Toronto, ON | Jukebox

Jukebox seeks a Packaging Team Lead, a pivotal role that demands a blend of leadership, precision, and a genuine passion for delivering unparalleled packaging experiences. As the torchbearer for this role, you'll be entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring that our products are packaged securely, yet with an aesthetic touch that echoes our brand's reputation for uniqueness and superior quality. Key Responsibilities
β€’ Leadership & Team Development: Inspire, guide, and mentor the packaging team to ensure alignment with Jukebox's high standards through regular QC checking.
β€’ Performance Management: Regularly evaluate team performance, providing individual constructive feedback, setting clear expectations, and facilitating growth.
β€’ Productivity Optimization: Communicate clearly the department’s target pack rate KPI goals, lean manufacturing practices, and efficient work practices.
β€’ Set High Quality Standards: Adhere to, maintain and correct packing procedures to ensure Standard Operational Procedures and final packed orders meet high Jukebox Standards of order accuracy, robust shipping capability and the Jukebox Brand aesthetic.
β€’ Budget Management: Forecasting labour hours budget based on historical orders stats to meet or exceed pack rate target. Optimize supplies and materials resource utilization.
β€’ Supplier Relations: Cultivate robust relationships with packaging suppliers, ensuring seamless supply chain operations.
β€’ Inventory Management: Help manage inventory to ensure accurate tracking and availability of packaging materials and maintain minimum and maximum inventory levels for each item. Ensure SOPs for inventory management are followed. Utilize Inflow inventory management software to update inventory.
β€’ Packaging Table Layouts: optimize packaging table layouts to improve workflow and efficiency. Implement ergonomic and practical solutions for the packaging team's workspace.
β€’ Safety and Compliance: Uphold stringent health, safety, and compliance standards within the department.
β€’ Continuous Improvement: Innovate and revise packaging protocols and materials based on feedback and evolving needs.
β€’ Cross-functional Collaboration: Forge strong collaborations with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
β€’ Customer Feedback: Actively seek, analyze, and implement feedback from customers about packaging.
β€’ Reporting: Present insightful departmental reports and updates to senior management.

Qualifications
β€’ A passion for Gift Wrapping or luxury Brand Packaging, demonstrated through prior experience or personal interest.
β€’ A solid 3-5 years of experience in a direct packaging role, preferably within an e-commerce or bustling retail setting that led to a Team Lead or Manager position.
β€’ Proven management or team leadership experience.
β€’ Demonstrable expertise in packaging delicate paper items.
β€’ Tech-savvy with a swift typing speed, and adept with online shipping platforms such as UPS and FedEx.
β€’ A bonus would be a flair for specialty gift wrapping, arts, or crafts.
