Job description

ALCO Gas & Oil designs, fabricates, and assembles oil and gas processing equipment for the domestic and global market. Alco is seeking B-Pressure Welders to work within our production facility.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Reporting to the department foreman, the successful candidate’s duties include, but are not limited to:
β€’ The ability to use tools and equipment safely, while abiding by the health and safety rules
β€’ Maintaining a clean and organized work area, and helping others maintain their work area
β€’ Basic fabrication experience and skill set with pressure vessel manufacturing
β€’ Welding of pressure vessels
β€’ Fitment of pressure vessels to meet drawing and code requirements
β€’ Working at heights is required, training will be provided

Preferred Skills:

In this role, the successful candidates will have:
β€’ 3+ years of experience in welding and fabrication of pressure vessels
β€’ Pre-test required to be passed
β€’ Ability to weld with the following practices: SMAW and GMAW
β€’ Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
β€’ Excellent communication, attitude, collaborative skills and ability to follow directions
β€’ Ability to lift up to 60lbs, work at heights, be agile and able to go on/off equipment, up/down ladders

Working Conditions:
β€’ You will work in a large manufacturing facility with other trades present
β€’ Longer than 8.0 hour work days may be required with short notice, must be available to work weekends when needed
β€’ Outside/inside work
β€’ Physically demanding position
