Location: McCor - The Dunwynn Centre – 1650 Dundas St E, Mississauga, Ontario

Salary: Starting from $17.85 per hour after probation $19.00 per hour

Shift: Monday to Friday | 3:00 PM –11:00 PM

Position Summary

We are currently hiring for a full-time Afternoon Tactical Security Guard position at McCOR – The Dunwynn Centre (1650 Dundas St E, Mississauga), with an immediate start.

This is a critical role supporting site operations during the afternoon shift. The ideal candidate will be reliable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, tactical environment. Previous tactical experience and/or use-of-force training is strongly preferred.

Required Qualifications
β€’ Valid Ontario Security Guard License
β€’ CPR/ First Aid certified
β€’ Excellent verbal communication skills
β€’ Strong report writing abilities
β€’ Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
β€’ Strong observational and problem-solving skills
β€’ Experience in tactical or high-risk environments (preferred)
β€’ Ability to work independently and within a team

Responsibilities
β€’ Monitor and patrol assigned premises to ensure safety and security
β€’ Control access to the site and verify credentials
β€’ Identify and respond to security breaches, safety hazards, or incidents
β€’ Maintain a strong and visible presence on-site
β€’ Respond effectively to emergencies and escalate when required
β€’ De-escalate situations using professional communication techniques
β€’ Complete detailed daily activity and incident reports
β€’ Enforce company and site-specific policies and procedures
β€’ Coordinate with emergency services when necessary
