Responsibilities for CBSA Security Guard
• Ensure the safety and security of individuals, property, and assets within the CBSA airport facility
• Escort detainees within the premises using restraints when required
• Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and composure when interacting with individuals under stress
• Observe, monitor, and report detainee behaviour and safety concerns
• Conduct regular indoor and outdoor foot patrols
• Perform frequent wellness and safety checks
• Operate security systems, software, and equipment effectively
• Respond promptly to emergency situations using tactical communication and de-escalation techniques
• Complete clear, accurate incident and daily activity reports

Required Qualifications
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification
• Advanced Security Training (AST) – considered an asset
• Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident with a minimum of 5 years residency in Canada
• High school diploma or equivalent (proof required)
• Ability to successfully obtain Public Works Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a tactical security role
• Strong ability to remain calm, decisive, and professional in high-pressure environments
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
