The Ramada Ottawa is looking for a Maintenance Worker/Shuttle Driver. We are looking for a hard-working and Reliable individual to join our team. The hours are Saturday and Sunday 6am-4pm.
Summary

The Ramada Ottawa is seeking a Maintenance Worker who would be responsible for preforming a variety of maintenance work, repair of general buildings and look after our outdoor pool and hot tub. In addition to these duties, the ideal candidate would also drive our shuttle van to ensure our guests enjoy seamless transportation to and from the Ottawa Airport to our hotel. Must have a full G License for 5 years and be over the age of 25.

The shifts available are Saturday and Sunday 6:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Worker
• Perform a variety of maintenance work, repair of general buildings and grounds including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall and painting tasks.
• Maintain outside grounds, pool area, remove snow, ice and debris.
• When the outdoor pool is open, use vacuum and net equipment to clean debris from pool. Mixing chemicals, testing the water and maintaining the appropriate balance of chlorine and pH in the water for both outdoor pool and hot tub.
• Testing the pool and hot tub, and record readings
• Conduct corrective service and repair / restoration works where and when necessary.
• Complete inspections and servicing to ensure working condition of all equipment, maintenance systems, water pressure, hot water heaters, generators, sump pumps, etc.
• This job requires lifting of up to 50 pounds and working outdoors

Shuttle Driver
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards of the shuttle vehicles.
• Safely operate shuttle vehicles to transport guests between designated locations.
• Provide friendly and professional assistance to guests.
• Follow all traffic laws and company policies.
• Assist with loading and unloading luggage when necessary.
• Keep accurate records of trips and vehicle maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with the front desk team to ensure smooth scheduling.

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
