Job Description
About Harbor of Health Home Care Services

Harbor of Health Home Care Services (HOHHCS) is an Edmonton-based home care provider committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care that supports the dignity, comfort, and independence of every client we serve. Our mission is simple — Here to Serve. We're hiring a reliable, detail-oriented Temporary Housekeeper to help us maintain safe, clean, and welcoming environments for our clients on a 1–3 month contract, with the possibility of extension into casual or part-time work based on performance and operational needs.

About the role

As a Temporary Housekeeper, you'll play a key role in supporting the wellbeing of our clients by keeping their living spaces and our facilities clean, organized, and sanitary. This is a hands-on, client-facing position where attention to detail, professionalism, and respect for client privacy are essential. You'll work independently but as part of a coordinated care team that includes caregivers, nurses, and supervisors.
What you'll do
• Clean and maintain client rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
• Make beds, change linens, and restock supplies and amenities
• Handle laundry — washing, drying, folding, and ironing
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces
• Refill cleaning supplies and report low inventory to your supervisor
• Report damages, hazards, or maintenance issues promptly
• Follow all safety, hygiene, and infection-control standards (including proper use of PPE and cleaning chemicals)
• Provide courteous, respectful service and respond appropriately to client requests
• Maintain client privacy and confidentiality at all times

What we're looking for
Required:
• Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or hospitality (home care, long-term care, hotel, or facility cleaning experience preferred)
• Ability to work independently and manage your time across multiple tasks
• Strong attention to detail and pride in a job well done
• Professional, respectful, and discreet manner — comfortable working in private homes
• Physical ability to perform cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Reliable transportation between client locations within Edmonton and surrounding area
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada
• Fluent English communication

Assets (nice to have):
• WHMIS 2015 awareness certificate
• Experience working with seniors or vulnerable populations
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle

How to apply
Apply directly through Indeed with your resume and a brief note about your availability and any relevant experience or email us at [email protected]. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a phone screen, followed by an in-person interview at our Edmonton office.
