Job Description
Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join their Port Elizabeth Factory.

To provide Electrical Engineering and technical services that support operational targets while ensuring optimal equipment availability, efficiency, and safety within the area of responsibility.

Requirements:
β€’ National Diploma in Electronic / Electrical Engineering (NQF 6)
β€’ Qualified Artisan – Trade Test
β€’ Trade Test (NQF 5)
β€’ Up to 8 years’ experience as an Electronic / Electrical Technician
β€’ Manufacturing environment experience
β€’ Strong PLC and robotics experience

Responsibilities:

Technical Support and Maintenance Control
β€’ Perform daily reactive, planned, and preventative maintenance
β€’ Conduct fault finding, repairs, and Root Cause Analysis
β€’ Ensure maintenance job cards are accurately closed
β€’ Maintain machine process capabilities
β€’ Maintain and program PLCs and robotic systems
β€’ Provide technical support aligned with production requirements
β€’ Stay updated with equipment and process requirements via manuals and process documentation
β€’ Provide ad hoc technical support as required

Compliance
β€’ Operate within company controls and procedures
β€’ Identify and report risks within area of responsibility
β€’ Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards
β€’ Prevent wasteful and irregular expenditure

β€’ Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
