Job Description
Overall Responsibility:

Delivery Driver will pick up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules and must work as part of the delivery team to ensure that the items are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct client in a polite and prompt manner. Comply with and HACCP or IS022000 requirements.

Focus Area 1

Driver
β€’ Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
β€’ Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
β€’ Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
β€’ Accepting payments for delivered items.
β€’ Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
β€’ Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
β€’ Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
β€’ Operating equipment and machines, such as cars and trucks.

Reporting

Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.

β€’ Comply with HACCP or IS022000 requirements.
β€’ Apply basic hygiene and sanitation and adhere to food safety related rules and activities as per factory instructions.
β€’ Perform Food Safety and Quality related activities as part of the FSMS and QC functions.

Requirements of the Role:
β€’ Matric certificate.
β€’ Valid Code 14 driver’s license, with a clean driving record with no medical or criminal record that would disqualify the driver from obtaining a PDP.

Preferred Skills/Competencies:
β€’ Strong time management and customer service skills.
β€’ Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items for extended periods.
β€’ 2 years experience driving a Superlink.
