Job Description
Job Title: Electricians

Location: Gqeberha

Job Type: Full-time

Rate : R136 p/h

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Responsible for troubleshooting and handling of all electrical equipment in the workshop to reduce downtime and ensure normal operation of electrical equipment

· Daily Maintenance, overhaul and inspection of all electrical equipment in the workshop and facilities

· Understand the general safety requirements for operating High Voltage, Medium Voltage equipment and Low Voltage, MV cable jointing and termination both indoors and outdoors.

· Understand how switching is done safely and in compliance with the OHSACT

· Inspection of all kinds of electrical equipment and high and low voltage lines at required and set intervals as per OHSACT when required.

· Perform electrical installations that include components such as switchgear and control gear

· Conduct simple electrical compliance audits and Electrical switchgear safe operation

· Assist Engineers with Compiling of maintenance plans, execution and maintenance plan reviews.

· Perform daily management tasks such as work logs, fault logs, equipment history records, maintenance records, etc and complete work tasks assigned by the maintenance department on time

· Regularly backup and manage important data, procedures and parameters of equipment (PC, Drives, Robotics, Inverter, PLC etc)

· Able to perform electrical-related work with minimal supervision or independently

· Must be flexible to work additional hours at short notice due to operational requirements

· To undertake continuous improvement activities

· To solve day-to-day issues

· To continually promote company philosophies, policies and values

· Ensure quality requirements are adhered to

· Take an active part in identifying and maintaining plant health and safety

· Assist in other operations of the department

· Complete work tasks and instructions assigned by engineers and management on time

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Trade-test certificate and N-Qualification or Diploma

· Trade-tested Electrician (Artisan)

· 5 years of working experience in the automotive, mechatronics, and automation-related industry

· Experience in various sensors, relay control circuits, frequency converters, electrical drawing etc

· Knowledge of PLC, HMI and common industrial robots
