The Role: Aluminium Boat Welder

As an Aluminium Boat Welder, you'll play a critical role in the production of high-quality aluminium boats, using MIG and TIG techniques to meet exacting design and performance standards. This hands-on position requires technical precision, a strong understanding of marine-grade aluminium welding, and a commitment to health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminium plate and extrusions (including 5083 aluminium).
• Read and interpret engineering and design drawings accurately.
• Measure, cut, and fit components according to precise design specifications.
• Follow production schedules to meet tight deadlines.
• Maintain high safety standards and use PPE consistently.
• Inspect and report defective welds or unsafe equipment.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with HSE standards.
• Complete required production and HR documentation accurately and on time.

About You
• Minimum 2 years direct experience in MIG and TIG welding on aluminium boats.
• Formal qualification or certification in MIG/TIG aluminium welding (or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of safety and HSE compliance in a manufacturing environment.
• Physically capable of performing demanding welding tasks, including lifting and confined space work.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and quality-driven with sober habits.
