Job Description
Basic Requirements:
• Formal Tertiary Education: Qualified Electrical Artisan
• Languages: English – Read, write and speak (required)
• Afrikaans – Read, write and speak (optional)
• German – Speak (advantageous)
• Drivers Licence: Code 8- (required)

Experience:
• Experience and ability to read and interpret details and requirements from Electrical design drawings
• Experience with interfacing/extracting information provided externally by customers/suppliers, to be incorporated into existing assembly methods
• Knowledge and experience of safety procedures within JMK and on customer sites.
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in the automation industry
• 3 – 5 years’ experience of Onsite operations
• International travelling experience

Job Objectives:
• Working within project requirements, HOD instructions, and budgets and timing to produce good quality standard facilities within those budgets and time constraints to ensure that the company’s project goals are met or exceeded
• Manage own work time and environment to ensure all environmental related issues such as housekeeping, neatness and accuracy are ensured and transferred to all staff to ensure high work standards
• To successfully move machinery from the assembly hall to the commissioning hall
• To assist in any modifications that comes through from the electrical designers.

Main Responsibilities:
• Manage Electrical requirements and instructions, ensuring meeting of short- and long-term project objectives.
• Work according to drawings and documentation supplied / Electrically wire machinery according to Electrical designs.
• Follow health and safety procedures.
• Follow all assembly safety practices to ensure a quality, safe product is produced.
• Document assembly restrictions, manage requirements and control delays with good communication skills and feedback to management and colleagues in a timely manner
• Work within project’s budget, time requirements, special requirements and facility quality requirements to ensure that the company’s project goals are met or exceeded
• Develop, track, evaluate and drive improvements in manufacturing and assembly methods. / Assist in installing any form of design change as released by electrical designers
• Confer with designers and manufacturing resources concerning product design to ensure efficient and correct assembly processes
• Assist in planning of total operation requirements, including workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow and layout of workspace for maximum efficiency. / Assist in repair of any damaged goods or problem areas to ensure smooth progress for IT
• Testing of sub-assembly units and complete facility to ensure it meets project, marketing, safety, product and customer requirements.
• Keep proper documentation trail
• Work on site, locally and abroad
• Continually giving feedback to I&C Manager as to progress.
• Liaise with the customer at times
• Support JQS (Jendamark Quality System). / Support the company Code of Conduct and all company policies.
