Job Description
Job Purpose To ensure that guest rooms, public areas, and assigned hotel facilities are cleaned, maintained, and presented to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction.

Key ResponsibilitiesRoom Cleaning
• Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards.
• Make beds and replace linen and towels.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust all assigned areas.
• Clean bathrooms, mirrors, fixtures, and amenities.
• Replenish guest supplies and toiletries.
• Report maintenance issues or damaged items immediately.

Public Areas
• Maintain cleanliness of corridors, stairways, lobbies, lifts, and other public areas.
• Ensure housekeeping trolleys and storage areas remain neat and organised.

Laundry & Linen
• Collect and replace used linen and towels.
• Handle guest laundry where applicable.
• Ensure linen is stored correctly and handled hygienically.

Health & Safety
• Follow all health, safety, hygiene, and infection-control procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
• Wear the required uniform and personal protective equipment.
• Report hazards, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.

Guest Service
• Be polite, professional, and courteous to guests.
• Respect guest privacy and confidentiality.
• Respond appropriately to reasonable guest requests or refer them to the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is advantageous.
• Physically fit and able to stand, bend, lift, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Basic English communication skills.

Pay: R10 000,00 - R13 000,00 per month
