Job Description
Primary purpose of the job:
Ensure that customer requirements are met with regards to the quality and volume of product delivered.

Key Performance Areas:
Compliance of AIAG and Customer related LASER welding norms and standards.

Control of LASER welding seam parameters.

Facilitate training and advise technical teams on Laser Welding techniques and equipment use.

Control and maintain Laser equipment.

Monitor and adhere to LASER safety standards.

Continuously Improve Laser-processes and ensure process compliance.

Skills Required:

Robotic programming skills

Geometric: Analysis and implementation of corrective actions - Robotic assembly (parameter control and analysis)

Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12/NQF Level 4

National Certificate in Electronic Engineering (Communication in electronics)

International Welding and Fabrication inspector/technologist Diploma

Advantage
6 Sigma Green Belt

Tertiary qualification in TQM

International Welding Engineer (IWE)

Minimum Experience
Min. 2 years robotic Mig/Mag welding

Min. 5 years manufacturing experience within the automotive environment

Min. 5 years automation/robotics experience

Min. 2 years laser welding experience (3)

Min. 2 years basic metallurgy and welding-engineering/technology experience.

Min. 2 years basic quality systems experience (6 Sigma preferred)
