Job Description
Introduction

Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their technical team situated in Westmead, KZN. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment, and physical structures in their production facility.

Experience in mechanical maintenace will be beneficial but not essential.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment used in the production process.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machines and equipment to ensure proper function.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with equipment.
• Maintain meticulous planning, active follow up and manage all logged plant breakdowns.
• Read and interpret blueperints, schematics, and technical manuals to determine repair and maintenance procedures.
• Assemble and install and proficiently learn new machinery and equipment.

Desired Experience & Qualification
• Matric or equivalent.
• 3+ years experience as a Electrical Maintenace Technician / millwright in a production setting.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safe work practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
• Ability to multi-task, problem solve and meet deadlines.
• Reliable, with high integrity and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Happy to work alternating night shifts.
