SHIFT ELECTRICIANS (x2)

Reference: MID600

Location: Cape Town, Kuils Rivier

Role Purpose:

Shift Electricians will be responsible for maintaining optimal working conditions across the entire facility. The role includes fault finding, repairs, preventative maintenance and responding to electrical emergencies, ensuring uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities:
β€’ Perform electrical fault finding on motors, drives, VSDs, PLCs and control systems.
β€’ Repair and maintain all electrical equipment, both low and high voltage.
β€’ Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
β€’ Attend to breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime.
β€’ Assist with electrical installations, upgrades and new projects.
β€’ Ensure correct use of lock-out/tag-out procedures and safety compliance.
β€’ Complete job cards, maintenance logs and shift reports.
β€’ Liaise with mechanical teams to support plant operation.

Minimum Requirements:
β€’ Red Seal Electrician qualification (essential).
β€’ Experience working with:
β€’ Motors
β€’ Soft starters
β€’ Drives / VSDs
β€’ PLCs (fault finding experience required)
β€’ Not afraid of working at heights and must be medically fit.
β€’ Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
β€’ Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
β€’ Ability to work shifts and handle emergency callouts.
