Role Overview

This is an entry-level opportunity for a Junior Site Electrician to gain hands-on experience in the fast-growing solar energy sector. The successful candidates will support the installation and commissioning of solar PV systems on sites across South Africa, working closely with Project Leaders and senior electricians. The role is ideal for individuals who are technically inclined, eager to learn, and looking to build a long-term career in renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities
β€’ Assist with the installation of solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, cabling, and mounting structures
β€’ Support site preparation, equipment setup, and basic electrical work under supervision
β€’ Assist with system wiring, connections, and basic fault finding
β€’ Work alongside the Project Leader to ensure installations are completed on time and to standard
β€’ Follow health and safety protocols on all sites
β€’ Help with commissioning and testing of systems where required
β€’ Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment on-site
β€’ Travel to various sites across South Africa as required

Minimum Requirements
β€’ Electrical qualification (N2/N3 or equivalent)
β€’ Basic understanding of electrical systems and principles
β€’ Willingness to travel extensively across South Africa
β€’ Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and develop new skills
