Job Description
Our client, a leading electrical contracting firm with a strong reputation for quality and reliability, is seeking motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electricians to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape . This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals eager to learn the trade and build a successful career in the electrical industry. As an apprentice, you will work under the direct supervision of experienced electricians, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting journeymen electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. Learning to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams. Pulling electrical wires and conduits. Installing electrical outlets, switches, junction boxes, light fixtures, and other electrical components. Helping with the installation of control systems and other electrical apparatus. Following all safety regulations and protocols on job sites. Maintaining a clean and organized work area. Learning to use a variety of hand and power tools common in the electrical trade. Participating in required apprenticeship training sessions and coursework. Troubleshooting basic electrical issues under supervision. Assisting with material takeoffs and ensuring materials are on-site. Developing a strong understanding of electrical codes and standards. Demonstrating a commitment to learning and professional development in the electrical field.
Required Qualifications:
A completed matric certificate or equivalent. A strong interest in pursuing a career as a qualified electrician. Good physical health and the ability to perform manual labor, including climbing ladders and working in various conditions. Basic understanding of tools and mechanical aptitude is beneficial.
