Remote Junior Apprentice Welder

Program Structure & Responsibilities:
Receive comprehensive theoretical and practical training in fundamental welding principles and techniques (e.g., Stick, MIG, TIG). Learn and adhere to all safety protocols and standards within the workshop environment, even when working remotely with provided equipment. Assist senior welders and fabricators in various tasks and projects. Develop proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. Gain experience in preparing materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and fitting. Understand and practice proper use and maintenance of welding equipment and tools. Participate in skill-building exercises and projects to reinforce learning. Complete assigned coursework and assessments as part of the apprenticeship curriculum. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment. Develop an understanding of different metals and their welding characteristics.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. A genuine interest and passion for welding and metal fabrication. Strong desire to learn and develop new skills. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision. Good manual dexterity and attention to detail. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Must be legally eligible to work as an apprentice. Ability to pass a basic skills assessment. Own reliable internet connection and a suitable space for remote learning activities if required. Candidates residing in or willing to relocate to the proximity of Polokwane, Limpopo, ZA will be prioritized, although the learning framework is designed for remote engagement.
