Job Description
A reputable manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Boilermaker / Welder to join their workshop in Philippi, Cape Town. The ideal candidate must have a strong fabrication and welding background, be capable of reading blueprints, and able to perform basic maintenance on trucks and trailers under supervision. Attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential.

Responsibilities:

 • Fabricate and assemble metal structures according to specifications and blueprints.
 • Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
 • Prepare materials for fabrication and assembly tasks.
 • Conduct routine maintenance and basic repairs on trucks and trailers under supervision.
 • Perform quality control checks to ensure adherence to standards.
 • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, compliant workshop environment.
 • Collaborate with team members on workshop projects and tasks.
 • Complete other duties as required from time to time.

Requirements:

 • Trade Certificate in Boilermaking / Welding (required).
 • Proven experience in fabrication, welding, and assembly.
 • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
 • Knowledge of workshop safety standards and compliance.
 • Strong teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail.
