Our Engineering / Industrial Services client is currently looking for a Field Electrician based in Jacobs, Durban.

Position Summary

The Field Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across various industrial sites. The role involves diagnosing electrical faults, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This position also requires assisting with mechanical duties when required, supporting team leaders on-site, and working collaboratively with the broader technical team to ensure efficient operation of steam, hot water, boiler, compressor, and commercial equipment systems. The successful candidate must be adaptable, hands-on, and comfortable working in demanding industrial environments.

Minimum Requirements

β€’ Trade Tested Qualified Electrician

β€’ Ability to read and write English well

β€’ Valid driver’s licence and own transport to and from the workshop

β€’ Must be honest, trustworthy, and reliable

β€’ Sober habits

β€’ Strong personality – confident, loud, and outspoken (able to communicate clearly with teams on site)

β€’ Willingness to work in industrial environments

Experience (Advantageous)
